China News Service, Chengdu, December 22 (Reporter He Shaoqing) The reporter learned from the Chengdu City Epidemic Prevention and Control Press Conference on the 22nd that for the medicines urgently needed by the citizens, the Chengdu Pharmaceutical Chamber of Commerce cooperated with Chengdu pharmaceutical manufacturers and prepared nearly 1 million tablets to reduce fever. The medicine will be distributed to citizens free of charge through pharmacies in the near future.

Recently, the Chengdu Municipal Market Supervision Bureau monitored the sales and inventory data of 16 representative large chain drugstore headquarters in Chengdu and about 4,500 retail drugstores.

Monitoring data show that in the past week, the purchase of epidemic-related drugs in Chengdu has seen a blowout growth.

Under normal circumstances, the daily sales volume of epidemic-related drugs in Chengdu is about 130,000 boxes, but since December 8, sales of epidemic-related drugs have doubled, reaching a peak of about 700,000 boxes on December 12.

Since then, it has gradually declined, and the current daily sales volume is basically stable at around 200,000 boxes.

Although the total inventory of epidemic-related drugs in Chengdu is currently stabilizing, the structural shortage of some varieties is still relatively prominent, and it is difficult to alleviate it in the short term.

For example, Lianhua Qingwen Capsules, which are highly recognized by consumers, antipyretic drugs ibuprofen (such as the common "Merrill", "Fenbid", etc.), acetaminophen (such as the common "Tylenol" " "Hash Tong", etc.) and antigen reagents and other products are still in tight supply.

In addition, due to the influence of the overall number of retail pharmacies in rural areas of Chengdu, the main channels for drug supply in rural areas of Chengdu are still medical institutions such as township health centers, community health stations, and clinics.

At present, no one has been found to entrust others to rush to buy medicines in rural areas through the Internet, mobile APP and other channels.

The supply of drugs in rural areas of Chengdu is basically the same as that of the whole city, and the supply of drugs related to the epidemic can generally meet the basic drug needs of the people.

In order to better meet the drug needs of the general public and prevent irrational drug purchases and hoarding of drugs, the Chengdu Municipal Market Supervision Bureau has instructed retail pharmacies to sell epidemic-related drugs and medical supplies in accordance with the rational use of drugs.

It is recommended to purchase each variety according to the usage amount of a conventional single course of treatment, and the maximum dosage for a single person should not exceed 5 days.

Encourage retail pharmacies to dismantle and sell shortages (such as ibuprofen, etc.) without affecting the quality of drugs, improve the efficiency of drug supply, and expand the coverage of drug supply.

Bai Lanbin, director of the Chengdu Municipal Market Supervision Bureau, said that to solve the problem of "difficulty in purchasing medicines" for citizens, the root is to expand the market supply of products.

Pharmaceutical manufacturers in Chengdu have strong production capacity. Taking acetaminophen drugs as an example, local companies have sufficient stocks of raw materials and can produce more than 300 million tablets of finished products.

"With the release of production capacity and the increase of supply, we expect that after about 2 weeks of product production and launch cycle, the current shortage of some medicines will be further improved." Bai Lanbin called on the general public to purchase and use medicines rationally, and not Blind hoarding of epidemic-related drugs.

For short-term purchase difficulties, you can purchase varieties with the same efficacy and relatively sufficient supply under the guidance of doctors and licensed pharmacists in pharmacies.
