Because of a winter storm, America is witnessing the coldest Christmas in 4 decades

A major winter storm is sweeping the United States this week, which, according to meteorologists, could bring the coldest Christmas in four decades to parts of the country.

The cold snap will head "once in a generation" - to the east after starting in the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday, before turning into a "bomb-like hurricane" by Friday.

More than 90 million people are facing this severe winter weather across 37 states.

About 80 percent of the country will experience sub-zero temperatures, including places as far south as Texas.

And the “Weather Channel” channel stated that the explosion in the Arctic, which was dubbed “Winter Storm Elliott”, would lead to the coldest Christmas in the Midwest since the late 1980s, according to expectations reported by the American media.
