The 2023 National Postgraduate Admissions Examination will be held from December 24th to 26th.

With the adjustment of the epidemic prevention and control policy, this year the Ministry of Education put forward the work goals of "scheduled examination", "responsible for all examinations" and "safe research and examination". Beijing has also optimized the examination and epidemic prevention plan.

So, what are the specific epidemic prevention requirements for each test site?

How will the "examination borrowing" clearly proposed by the Ministry of Education be realized?

How do candidates take the retest after the initial test?

What kind of candidates can be adjusted?

Question 1 What are the epidemic prevention requirements during the exam?

Candidates are required to wear masks throughout the exam

Wang Junzheng, Executive Vice President of Graduate School of Beijing Institute of Technology

In order to implement the work goals of "scheduled exams", "responsible for all exams" and "safety research" proposed by the Ministry of Education, the city has optimized the epidemic prevention plan for exams, and set up exam centers by category according to the group exam model of "one category, one policy".

Each test center has also formulated a special group test plan according to the actual situation to ensure that all kinds of candidates can take the test safely and smoothly.

According to the requirements of the Beijing Education Examination Institute, all candidates must pass the "Antigen or Nucleic Acid Test Result" module of the "2023 Beijing Postgraduate Examination Candidate Information Collection System" before 12:00 noon on December 20. , fill in the antigen or nucleic acid test results within 24 hours (after 12 noon on December 19).

Candidates must start from the 5th day before the test (December 19) to carry out daily body temperature measurement, record and health monitoring, and fill in the "Health Commitment Form".

At that time, candidates can enter the test center after taking their body temperature with their "Examination Admission Ticket", the valid ID card they held during the qualification review, and the "Health Commitment" (only checked when taking the first test, and will not be checked later).

According to the requirements of the higher authorities, the examination center of Beijing Institute of Technology has adjusted the examination affairs accordingly.

During the examination in previous years, our school will organize students from Zhongguancun Campus and Liangxiang Campus to take the examination at the examination center of Zhongguancun Campus.

This year, in order to reduce the risk of the spread of the epidemic, Liangxiang Campus set up a test center, and 289 fresh graduates from this campus took the test directly at the test center on this campus.

The Zhongguancun campus test center has set up 275 test rooms with 119 classrooms, and welcomed 6,560 fresh graduates from the school and social candidates to take the test.

On the day of the test, candidates should arrive at the test center in advance.

In order to ensure safety, we have set up one-way lanes in the test center. Candidates should follow the instructions after entering and enter different test rooms through dedicated passages.

According to the health status of candidates, the test center has general test rooms and special test rooms.

Candidates with negative antigen or nucleic acid test results take the test in the general test room; candidates with positive antigen or nucleic acid test results take the test in the special test room.

In addition, we have reserved some spare test rooms in a relatively independent location in each test building. Because it is difficult to predict the exact number of people, we also set up the school library reading room, teacher lounge, lecture hall and other places as spare test rooms. Suspected symptoms will be arranged to take the test in an alternate test room.

After entering the examination room, candidates must sit in the assigned position.

During the examination period, we will strengthen the ventilation and disinfection of the examination room, prepare enough anti-epidemic materials, strictly implement the anti-epidemic regulations in the examination room, and arrange medical staff to follow up the whole process to ensure the health and safety of candidates and staff.

Ordinary candidates must wear medical surgical masks throughout the process. Candidates with positive antigen or nucleic acid test results and suspected symptoms on the day must wear N95/KN95 masks throughout the process.

Question 2 How to arrange for borrowing candidates?

We have arranged a special rest area for borrowers

Wang Changzheng, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture

"Responsible for all exams" and "safety research exams" are the basic principles of the 2023 national postgraduate admissions exam. In order to solve the problem of candidates who are stranded outside Beijing and have difficulty returning to Beijing to take the exam, the Ministry of Education clearly proposes to allow candidates to borrow the exam.

In this regard, our school conducted research in advance to understand and clarify the conditions for taking the exam, strengthen the requirements for group exams, and solve problems for candidates at all stages, so that candidates can prepare for the exam with peace of mind and take the exam smoothly.

In order to understand the needs of candidates as soon as possible, according to the arrangement of the Beijing Educational Examination Institute, the school has carried out candidate information through questionnaires since November 15, through public account information push, information sending on the research and recruitment website, student counselor reminders, There are 4 ways of point-to-point telephone communication to ensure that every candidate fills out the questionnaire.

Due to the prevention and control of the epidemic, when the staff of the Research and Admissions Office were temporarily unable to enter the school to work, they transferred the calls from the two office landlines that had been announced to the public to their personal mobile phones to ensure that candidates' consultation calls were answered.

When encountering candidates who have questions, the teachers will patiently answer them and guide candidates who meet the requirements for borrowing the exam to fill in the application for borrowing the exam as required.

As the epidemic situation changes, when the group examination plan has not yet been determined, the school research and admissions office also pays close attention to the dynamics of the candidates, responds to the questions of the candidates in a timely manner, and alleviates the anxiety of the candidates.

The school’s research and admissions office and the school’s education and engineering department have established an account of the basic situation of the candidates in the school, updating the situation in Beijing and the situation at the school every day, and grasping the status of each candidate.

For candidates outside the school, it is also necessary to remind the new policy changes from time to time, answer various questions in a timely manner, and help candidates resolve problems.

Even in the case of an outbreak in the school, we always pay attention to the candidates' dynamics and do a good job of psychological counseling so that the candidates will not be affected by the unexpected situation.

According to the unified arrangement of the Ministry of Education, at the beginning of December, the school organized candidates to carry out a new round of borrowing for candidates.

After round after round of data analysis, in the end, 70 candidates from our school went to other test centers to borrow exams from our school, and more than 200 candidates borrowed exams from other test sites to our school.

According to statistics, there are more than 2,000 candidates in the test center of our school this year, and more than 10% of them borrowed the test.

The school has fully explored the resources of the examination room in the school, used the classroom with the best conditions as the examination room, prepared a sufficient number of spare examination rooms, and arranged a special rest area.

According to the data update of the candidates for the examination, combined with the preliminary data, the arrangement of the examination room has been completed again. At that time, the candidates for the examination will be arranged in the most suitable examination room and can rest in a special area.

The circulation of examination papers is the key to the work of borrowing examinations. There are nearly 100 examination papers to be sent out by the school, involving 56 candidates and covering 22 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions).

The school tried every means to mobilize manpower to complete the rearrangement of the test papers as quickly as possible, and sent the transferred test papers to the Beijing Education Examination Institute as required.

After receiving the test papers that were transferred to the test center, the school arranged special personnel to reorganize the test papers. Each test paper was sorted out with three reviews, so as to ensure that every candidate who borrowed the test could get his own test paper in the test room.

Question 3 How to prepare for the re-examination after passing the initial examination?

Preparation for the re-examination can be started from three aspects

Song Zhifei, Executive Deputy Dean of the Graduate School of North China University of Technology

The re-examination is an important part of the graduate admissions examination.

In mid-to-early March every year, the Ministry of Education releases the basic requirements for the preliminary examination results (national score line) for candidates entering the re-examination for postgraduate admissions examinations. On the basis of the above, independently determine and announce the requirements (re-examination score line) for candidates of each discipline (major) of the unit to enter the re-examination.

The re-examination score line is generally determined according to the number of enrollment plans at a ratio of no less than 120%. Individual subjects (majors) will determine that more candidates will enter the re-examination list due to factors such as the relative concentration of candidates' scores.

Candidates of the first choice who have reached the national score line, if they are not shortlisted for the re-examination list of the first voluntary unit or are shortlisted for the re-examination list of the first voluntary unit but fail the re-examination, they can log in to the "National Postgraduate Admissions" on the "China Postgraduate Admissions Information Network" Fill in the transfer volunteers in the Dispatch Service System, and the dispatch system is generally opened around the end of March.

Candidates who are willing to transfer can pay timely attention to the transfer information released by the admissions unit with transfer needs through the transfer system, and fill in the transfer application as required. After filling in the application, pay attention to the notice issued by the admissions unit through the transfer system in a timely manner, and make a reply as required .

Re-examinations are generally held in March and April.

Affected by the new crown epidemic in recent years, most of the admissions units have adopted online and remote re-examination methods, which provides great convenience for candidates to participate in the transfer.

However, with the adjustment of the epidemic prevention and control policy, in order to select outstanding students more comprehensively and objectively, the possibility of returning to the offline method has also increased significantly.

Before the re-examination, each candidate who participates in the re-examination will undergo a qualification review, and only after passing the review can he enter the re-examination link.

The content of the re-examination generally includes professional comprehensive interviews, English listening and speaking tests, etc.

Candidates for academic degrees and professional degrees generally have different emphases in the re-examination. Academic degrees generally focus on testing scientific research potential and academic innovation ability, while professional degrees focus on practical tests.

Candidates can start from three aspects when preparing for the re-examination: First, prepare for professional courses.

For professional courses, the difficulty of the re-examination content will increase slightly, and the examination form will be more flexible. It is recommended that candidates do a good job of checking for omissions and filling in vacancies during the review.

Some majors will have hands-on practical ability tests, such as design majors, which may allow candidates to complete simple product design; computer majors, may test candidates' programming abilities (on-site programming, error-finding), etc.

The second is English test preparation.

Under normal circumstances, listening and speaking abilities are mainly tested, and intensive training can be passed in advance to achieve the purpose of improving abilities.

The third is the interview.

Strengthen practice in the understanding and comprehensive application of professional knowledge, and conduct simulation training for different situations in combination with the characteristics of disciplines (professionals), so as to improve logical analysis, comprehensive judgment, language expression and other aspects.

The re-examination results are the weighted sum of the re-examination results. Those who fail the re-examination results will not be admitted.

When the admissions unit deems it necessary, the candidate can be re-examined.

The candidate's total score is the weighted sum of the re-examination score and the preliminary test score.

The weight of re-examination results in the total score is generally controlled within the range of 30% to 50%, which is determined by the admissions unit.

Ideological and political theory examinations for Master of Accounting, Master of Library and Information, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, Master of Tourism Management, Master of Engineering Management, and Master of Auditing are conducted by the recruiting unit during the re-examination, and the results are included in the re-examination results.

The admissions unit determines the list of proposed admissions based on the annual enrollment plan, the re-examination admission method, the candidates' initial and re-examination results, ideological and political performance, and physical health status, and makes a public announcement.

Admissions units generally issue admission notices and other materials between June and July of the enrollment year.

Question 4 What kind of candidates can be transferred?

Candidates who meet the relevant requirements can take "regret medicine"

Ren Yang, Graduate Admissions Office, Central University of Finance and Economics

In 2023, the number of postgraduate entrance examinations across the country will hit a new high. In the increasingly fierce competition for postgraduate entrance examinations, choice has become particularly important, and the adjustment is to give candidates who have not entered a voluntary college to take the re-examination a chance to take "regret medicine".

Candidates can only fill in one major of one recruiting unit when registering for the postgraduate entrance examination on the "China Postgraduate Admissions Information Network". We call this major a voluntary major.

After the preliminary examination is over and the Ministry of Education announces the basic requirements for candidates to enter the re-examination, the candidates can learn about the recruitment unit's adjustment method, plan balance and other information through the Yanzhao.com adjustment service system, and independently fill in multiple times in parallel according to relevant regulations. Volunteering.

As long as they meet the requirements of the corresponding college and major, transfer candidates can be transferred to other majors in a college of choice, or transferred to other colleges and universities.

So, what kind of candidates can participate in the adjustment?

  First, look at the grades.

Candidates need to pass the test scores, and only candidates whose initial test scores (including extra points) meet the national line of the first voluntary major in the transferred area can participate in the transfer.

The transferred areas are mainly divided into District 1 and District 2. District 2 covers 10 provinces (regions) including Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Hainan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang. In the other 21 provinces (cities), the national line of the first district is generally slightly higher than that of the second district by 10 points.

Taking 2022 as an example, the economics national line in the first district is 360 points, and the economics national line in the second district is 350 points. Therefore, a student with a score of 358 (including bonus points) can only participate in the transfer of the second district.

Knowing whether the results meet the national line and which regions can participate in the transfer is the first step in judging the transfer qualification.

  Second, look at university policies.

Every year, the recruiting unit needs to formulate its adjustment work method in accordance with the relevant policies of the Ministry of Education, detailing the time for accepting candidates for transfer, basic requirements, work procedures, transfer and re-examination methods, contact telephone numbers, etc. System" and the unit's website.

Take the Central University of Finance and Economics as an example. In 2021, our school will not open any on-campus or off-campus transfers. In 2022, our school will open transfers, but only accept transfers from part-time candidates majoring in business administration, public management and auditing.

Therefore, it is the second step to judge the transfer qualifications to actively pay attention to the research and recruitment information release platform of the colleges and universities that intend to transfer, and to keep abreast of the transfer plans of the corresponding colleges and universities.

  Third, look at professional requirements.

The major to be transferred must be the same or similar to the major of the first choice, and should be within the scope of the same discipline.

The subjects of the initial examination are the same or similar to the subjects of the initial examination of transferred majors, and the subjects of the national unified proposition (that is, the subjects of the unified examination) need to be exactly the same.

In addition, some special majors, such as business administration, public administration, etc., and law (non-science) have corresponding transfer requirements, and the specific requirements are subject to the plan of the transfer institution.

Fourth, look at the special plan.

Candidates who apply for the "Minority High-Level Backbone Program" cannot be transferred to other places outside the program, and those who have not applied for the test cannot be transferred into the program.

Candidates who apply for the "Retired College Student Soldiers" special program can apply for transfer to the general program when they meet the performance requirements. Candidates who have not applied for the exam and meet the conditions for the soldier program can also apply for transfer to the special program.

Adjustment is an opportunity for many candidates to choose again, and it also tests the candidates' ability to resist pressure with a stable mentality and decisive judgment in making choices within a time limit.

Whether it is a voluntary or transferred ashore, I hope that all candidates will go smoothly in the exam and get what they want.

  tutor suggestion

How to do the final sprint three days before the exam

Su Shangfeng, Professor and Master Supervisor of Capital Normal University

I have participated in postgraduate marking in these years, and I have seen the effect of some candidates' final sprints.

There are still three days before the exam. If you can gain more understanding in your studies, have a clearer understanding of the majors you are applying for, and have a deeper understanding of the ideas of various subjects, the exam will naturally be more natural and easy.

Here, I offer some suggestions for candidates.

One is to read the catalog to make up for the omissions, but not complete.

Compared with the college entrance examination or the course examination at the undergraduate level, the scope of the postgraduate entrance examination is much wider.

Especially the professional basic comprehensive or business course two, it is so big that it almost covers many professional courses.

It is impossible to browse all the contents again.

The idea of drawing key points is correct, but it is not easy to plan accurately.

By browsing the textbook catalog, on the basis of examining the mastery of different knowledge points one by one, draw some key points with reference to the characteristics of your own knowledge structure.

It is necessary to focus on mastering some key knowledge, but also to construct the position of this knowledge in the entire subject knowledge system in the mind.

Find clues in the overall framework.

If you turn to some places and find it unclear or interesting, just turn in and read three or two pages carefully.

On-the-spot reading also often yields surprising results.

No matter reviewing the past to learn the new, or just seeing it for the first time, the whole process of preparing for the exam should be filled with the surprise of encountering knowledge.

The second is to focus on understanding and learning to apply the disciplinary thinking of the major you are applying for.

The form and content of postgraduate entrance examinations have become more and more comprehensive, which makes the process of description, analysis, and problem solving more prominent.

The superposition of questions between different knowledge categories can better present a person's way of thinking in the process of thinking about problems.

And this quality of thinking is the key goal of graduate selection and evaluation.

Ordinarily, this kind of thinking learning is difficult to achieve short-term success, it needs to run through the entire undergraduate study, and it can best reflect the basic level of candidates in the undergraduate study.

But at present, too many candidates rely too much on some test review materials commonly used in the market in the early preparation.

Although these materials provide structured knowledge information, they also present some formalized results of logical inference or deductive derivation, but they greatly lose a lot of thinking experience in the formation of subject knowledge.

Therefore, even if you cram temporarily, read one or two professional literatures, experience and learn the thinking angles, thinking methods, and argumentation methods that permeate them, it will also have a striking effect.

The third is to carry out more interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge connections and dialogues.

On the one hand, the test questions of various subjects in recent years have a common tendency in this regard, putting the knowledge points tested into the practical situation.

In this way, not only the knowledge points are tested, but also other knowledge points in the practical situation and the relationship between these knowledge points are also tested.

Some subject test questions are often related to the country's current political trends and the development trend of the major you are applying for.

On the other hand, carrying out knowledge connection and dialogue can deepen the understanding of knowledge itself and help candidates form their own personalized knowledge network.

When it is necessary to extract the corresponding information, it can be more flexible and convenient.

Any test preparation has to go through two stages, one is the understanding and memory stage, and the other is the systemization stage.

The long-term learning tasks in the early stage are mainly knowledge understanding and reproduction, and the final stage should focus on the systemization of knowledge.

If you really do the above three points well, you don't have to worry even if you encounter "blockers" in the examination room.

Individual knowledge blind spots are unavoidable. Candidates may wish to adjust the order of answering questions. Many knowledge points mobilized when answering other test questions may provide candidates with the knowledge clues needed to complete difficult problems.
