In early December, Marius brand spice jars were recalled due to the presence of potentially dangerous bacteria.

This Tuesday, Rappel Conso issued three new spice jar recalls, this time concerning the Saint Lucie brand.

These products were sold in Auchan, Carrefour, Casino, Franprix, Francap, Leclerc, Intermarché and Système U stores throughout France.

These recalls are due to the presence of toxic carcinogenic substances, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, in the cumin used in the mixture.

The first recalled product is a couscous mix sold in a 50g bottle and bearing the barcode 3162050040706. The affected lot is 2231146 with a minimum durability date (MDD) of 07/10/2025.

This spice blend was marketed between November 8 and December 15, 2022.
