After recent recalls of foie gras, smoked salmon or shrimp, a new alert this time concerns capons sold everywhere in France.

Some of them are contaminated with Listeria, reports Rappel Conso.

They all belong to the group of breeders Les Fermiers de l'Ardèche.

Several Le Gaulois Professionnel products, a brand belonging to the group, are affected by this recall.

It is each time 2.5 kg of sautéed capon, marketed by Metro, Guillot-Cobreda and Palmidor.

Three lots were removed from the shelves: 0362011368, 0362011538 and 0362011291.

Consumption of food contaminated with Listeria can cause fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches.

“Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly should be particularly attentive to these symptoms”, specifies Rappel Conso.

Listeriosis is a potentially serious disease.

Its incubation period can be up to eight weeks.
