[Explanation] On December 20, the Chengdu Archaeological Center, newly built by the Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology, was officially completed.

This is currently the largest urban archaeological research and display platform with the most advanced facilities and equipment and the most complete functions in Southwest China. Display, popular science education, cultural and creative research and development, cultural relics protection, industry services and other functions in one.

After the official operation starts today, the Chengdu Archaeological Center will be open to the public in the form of social education activities.

  The exhibition of the Chengdu Archaeological Center is mainly divided into two parts, which respectively describe "what is archaeology" and the achievements of Chengdu archaeology.

In the Chengdu Archaeological Center, the display of archaeological achievements is mainly set according to the timeline.

From the Stone Age, to the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, to the Han, Tang, Ming and Qing Dynasties, every historical link has been displayed with Chengdu's rich archaeological discoveries.

  Yan Jinsong, director of the Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, told reporters that the permanent exhibition of the Chengdu Archaeological Center aims to allow the public to understand history and the whole process of archaeology through archaeological achievements, and deeply understand the significance of archaeological exploration of the unknown and revealing the origin.

  We use our decades of archaeological achievements in Chengdu to show the history of Chengdu through our presentation, so that our archaeological achievements can truly enter the ordinary people and society, and witness the development of our urban history in Chengdu.

It is different from other archaeological museums. I have integrated my exhibition center, my laboratory, and my conference center. All kinds of functions are fully open to the public to show the whole process of our archaeological work in Chengdu.

We want to let the public really understand what our archaeology is doing through this display, and what is the purpose of our archaeology?

What is the significance of our archeology?

Through this process, everyone really understands archaeology, likes archaeology, understands archaeology, and supports archaeology.

  [Explanation] The reporter saw at the scene that the Chengdu spears on display, the magnificent Warring States lacquer bed, the archaeological restoration of Chengdu portraits more than 4,000 years ago and other exhibits made the visitors admire again and again.

Yan Jinsong said that through decades of urban archaeology, Chengdu's 4,500-year history of civilization and its achievements in various historical periods have been proved, which is the pride of Chengdu people.
