Pierre Arditi was the guest of Sonia Mabrouk Monday, December 19 on Europe 1. The actor, who came to promote the film "Maestro (s)", currently in the cinema, spoke at length about his relationship to paternity .

He explains that he considers himself "one of the assassins" of his son Frédéric, who did not have "what a child expects from his father".

in which he plays the role of François, an internationally renowned conductor who finds himself in competition with his son, played by Yvan Attal.

While the feature film addresses the subject of fatherhood and father-son ties, Pierre Arditi confided in Sonia Mabrouk's microphone about his own relationship with his child Frédéric, the fruit of his love affair with actress Florence Giorgetti.

“He must have been alone in his bed crying”

"There are no good parents, it does not exist. I can speak with knowledge of the facts. I myself am one of the assassins of my own son", assures Pierre Arditi.

"It's quite violent as an expression but when he came into the world, his mother and I, my first wife, were in the process of making ourselves as actors. So he did not have what "A child waits for his father and his mother. He did a bit like Proust. From time to time, he had to be alone in his bed crying because his mother did not come to kiss him on the forehead", remembers the actor.

"I'm glad to see you but I'm not calling"

Now 53, Frédéric has forgiven his father for his repeated absences.

But their relationship has long taken a hit.

"We paid a lot for it", underlines Pierre Arditi.

"When we wanted to talk to my son, we had to call him because he wasn't calling anymore. He would say 'Me, there's no problem, I'm delighted to see you but I'm not calling.' “The days when father and son barely spoke to each other are over.

"Now it's over, everything has disappeared," says Pierre Arditi, relieved to have been able to catch up with his son...
