The French branch of the VTC company Uber has unveiled its 2022 retrospective. We learn in particular that five babies were born during races this year, which brings the total to 17 births since the beginnings of the app in France, reports Presse -lemon.
Another unusual figure: the largest tip given to a driver was 50.21 euros.
Among the most amusing figures, that of the shortest distance traveled during a race: 400 m!
Conversely, the longest distance was 1,097 kilometers.
A Paris-Barcelona at more than 1,400 euros
This extraordinary race was ordered in Paris by an American, whose return flight to his country had just been cancelled.
Determined to return to the United States as soon as possible, he boarded a VTC for a journey of more than ten hours, heading to Barcelona airport (Spain).
The trip was billed to him for 1,411 euros.
As Presse-citron points out, some passengers seem ready to do anything to be on time at the airport.
Thus, still in 2022, two customers traveled from Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) to Paris, for a respective journey of 921 and 975 kilometers.
Even more impressive: two years ago, an Uber driver agreed to drive from Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) to Plumieux (Côtes-d'Armor).
Total counted: 1,129 kilometers!
