On the afternoon of the 17th, a metropolitan bus running in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, suddenly braked, and five men and women of the passengers were slightly injured, such as falling inside the car.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, around 4:00 pm on the 17th, a running metropolitan bus suddenly stopped near the intersection of the metropolitan road in Sumiyoshi-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.

At that time, there were about 30 to 40 passengers in the car, and among them, five men and women in their 30s to 80s fell or hit the handrail and suffered minor injuries.

Investigations so far say that the bus driver was late noticing that the taxi that was running in front stopped at the intersection.

The scene was a metropolitan road with two lanes on one side near Akebonobashi Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, and the bus was headed for Nerima Ward from the west exit of Shinjuku Station.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the situation at the time by asking the circumstances from the driver.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau said, "We apologize to those who have been injured. We will provide thorough guidance to the crew."
