[Subtitle] Under the new situation of the new crown epidemic, is it safe for ordinary people to seek medical treatment?

What has the healthcare system done to prepare for it?

On the afternoon of December 9, the Joint Defense and Control Mechanism of the State Council held a press conference to respond to this.

[1] Are there enough medical resources?

[Concurrent] Jiao Yahui, Director of the Department of Medical Affairs of the National Health Commission

At present, the total number of intensive care beds across the country is 138,100, of which 106,500 are in tertiary medical institutions.

The number of critical care beds is close to the level of ten (per) one hundred thousand people.

The total number of doctors in intensive care is 80,500, 106,000 are "convertible ICU" reserve doctors, 220,000 are nurses in intensive care, and 177,700 are "convertible ICU" nurses.

Hospitals above the second level must open fever clinics, and qualified grassroots medical and health institutions must also open fever clinics or fever clinics, and must be equipped with sufficient strength to meet the needs of the people for fever treatment as much as possible.

[2] Which hospitals have fever clinics?

[Concurrent] Jiao Yahui, Director of the Department of Medical Affairs of the National Health Commission

Hospitals above the second level and qualified grassroots medical and health institutions should set up and open fever clinics as much as possible. At the same time, we also require health administrative departments at all levels to strengthen supervision and inspection of the opening of fever clinics.

In terms of simplifying the setting of fever clinics, we require medical institutions to first set up fever clinics in relatively independent areas, and fever clinics no longer require three areas and two channels.

Hospitals are required to increase the number of fever clinics as much as possible, and provide corresponding training for all medical staff in the hospital's internal medicine department, so as to ensure that these people can be adjusted to fever clinics for consultation at any time as needed.

【3】How do the elderly see a doctor?

[Concurrent] Jiao Yahui, Director of the Department of Medical Affairs of the National Health Commission

The first is to build a grid layout in cities and counties.

Through this grid and the layout of the medical consortium, we can ensure that all our elderly can be fully covered by the grid and the medical consortium, and included in our management scope.

The second is to carry out graded health monitoring for these elderly people. For the elderly with relatively high risk, special case management shall be implemented, and the community shall carry out daily health monitoring and provide corresponding guidance and services.

The third point is that due to the lack of human resources at the grassroots level, on-site guidance, remote guidance, tour guidance, and various methods are used to strengthen grassroots support and technical support for the health monitoring of the elderly.

【4】How to seek medical treatment for positive nucleic acid?

[Concurrent] Jiao Yahui, Director of the Department of Medical Affairs of the National Health Commission

In the past, everyone thought that those who were positive for nucleic acid would go to designated hospitals for treatment. Next, all our medical institutions must receive patients with positive nucleic acid.

You don’t need to worry anymore, because you are nucleic acid positive, so the hospital does not accept patients. This is not allowed. We have also put forward a request in this regard, and we also require that all our medical institutions should be prepared for this from now on. .

All medical institutions treat patients according to their conditions and complaints, and patients also choose medical institutions according to their medical needs.

All medical institutions are not allowed to distinguish between nucleic acid negative and positive, and conduct consultations entirely out of medical needs.
