A river has nourished the ancient civilization and witnessed the long-standing friendship between China and Laos.

A section of railway connects high mountains and big rivers. There is love that breaks through national boundaries and beauty across mountains and rivers.

December 3, 2022 is the first anniversary of the opening of the China-Laos Railway.

From December 1st, China News Network and China News Service Yunnan Branch jointly launched a series of short films "Beyond Mountains and Rivers" co-produced by China and Laos. The series consists of 10 episodes (5 episodes in China and 5 episodes in Laos). "Home", "Road", "Weaving", "Root", "Taste", "Dream", "Music", "Like", "Aid" and "Love" have 10 chapters, telling about a Laotian female mechanic, a Laotian daughter-in-law in Yunnan, and medical staff on the China-Laos border , Lao Chinese and other groups, showing the changes and longings that the China-Laos Railway, a road of friendship and happiness, has brought to the lives of the two peoples.

Today, we release the ninth short film "Aid".

The film tells the story of two doctors, Wang Yafeng and Zhang Lin, from the People's Hospital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, who helped Lao doctors to diagnose patients through medical technical assistance.

Since December 2018, the People's Hospital of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture opened a remote ECG diagnosis platform with three hospitals in Laos, and more than 3,700 Lao patients have received scientific and timely diagnoses.

Two doctors, Wang Yafeng and Zhang Lin, as members of medical assistance, still pass on the "Chinese temperature" to Lao patients through the Internet.
