On October 21, 2022, a forest fire broke out in Xintian County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. Lin Yuanyang, a professional and technical cadre of the Combat Training Section of the Aba Detachment of the Sichuan Forest Fire Corps, traveled thousands of miles with the team and cross-regional reinforcements. In order to cover the evacuation of local fire fighters and comrades in arms, Comrade Lin Yuanyang was severely burned. After more than 40 days of full rescue, he unfortunately died on the afternoon of December 5, 2022. He was only 34 years old.
At 15:00 on December 9, the ashes of the martyr Lin Yuanyang were escorted by his relatives and comrades in arms from Changsha, Hunan Province to Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
On both sides of the road to the Martyrs Cemetery in Chengdu, former comrades-in-arms of the martyrs and citizens of Chengdu lined the road to greet them.
It is understood that during Lin Yuanyang's treatment for more than 40 days after his injury, his father stayed in front of his son's ward, hoping for a miracle.
After the hospital tried its best to treat him, Lin Yuanyang still left forever.
Lin Yuanyang, born in August 1988, is the head of the combat training section of the Aba Detachment of the Sichuan Provincial Forest Fire Corps. He has served as a soldier, platoon leader, instructor, and training staff member. He has won third-class merit twice.
Lin Yuanyang is the only son in his family, and his parents have been in business for many years.
Faced with a superior family background than his peers, Lin Yuanyang resolutely chose to join the army.
In December 2009, Lin Yuanyang enlisted in the army in Chengdu and became a glorious armed police soldier. After unremitting efforts, he was admitted to the Armed Police Engineering University and became a cadre of the Armed Police Forest Force.
In June 2017, Lin Yuanyang served as the instructor of the Jiuzhaigou Squadron of the Aba Forest Fire Brigade. Just two months after taking office, he experienced a magnitude 7.0 earthquake.
After the earthquake, Lin Yuanyang quickly led 15 commandos to carry out rescue operations in Shangsizhai, the worst-hit area. Gold moved continuously within 72 hours and rested for less than 3 hours a day.
Lin Yuanyang served as an instructor for three years, and the Jiuzhaigou Squadron was honored as a "Model Squadron" by the Forest Fire Bureau for three consecutive years.
When the army was transformed in 2018, his father repeatedly urged Lin Yuanyang to resign and go home to help manage the business, but he finally chose to stay in the team.
Later, he had the opportunity to transfer back to Chengdu to work many times, but he resolutely chose to stay on the plateau to work.
In the forest fire fighting in Lugu Town, Mianning County, Liangshan Prefecture, the detachment ordered Lin Yuanyang to lead the squadron to cross-regional reinforcements.
During one operation, due to sudden changes in wind direction and increased wind force, the flames approached Daping Village, which is less than 2 kilometers away. There was a fire in front of him and crowds behind him. Lin Yuanyang quickly led 12 commandos, risking being engulfed by the fire at any time. Set up three water pumps on a steep slope close to 70 degrees, fixed themselves on the tree trunk with ropes, launched a fierce attack on the fire wall close to 10 meters, and forcibly tore a hole in the fire head, opening a path for follow-up comrades to reinforce the fire and block the fire head The extremely important channel, after more than 3 hours of fierce fighting, the fire was successfully extinguished.
On June 10, 2022, a 6.0-magnitude earthquake swarm occurred in Malkang City. He volunteered to join the advance team to scout the disaster situation for the team.
