On April 14, following the trial at first instance, the Aurillac court sentenced Coline Berry-Rojtman, 46, to a fine of 2,000 euros for defamation.
The actor's daughter also had to pay 20,000 euros in damages to her former mother-in-law, as well as 5,000 euros in legal costs.
The Riom Court of Appeal added the same amount for legal costs, i.e. a total of 10,000 euros.
"Faced with a decision that criminalizes the speech of victims of sexual violence, Coline Berry decides to appeal to the Court of Cassation," said Me Klugman's office in a press release.
