The Finnish Embassy celebrates its country's national day
The Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the country, Marianna Nisila, held a reception yesterday evening on the occasion of her country's National Day.
The ceremony, which was held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Amna Mahmoud Mohamed Fikri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Finland, Aisha Suwaidan, Director of the European Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and a number of officials and heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to the country.
In a speech on this occasion, the Finnish ambassador said that Finland has close and strong relations with the UAE, stressing her country's keenness to enhance and consolidate joint cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields and move them forward towards broader horizons.
She added that the UAE has a strong partnership reinforced by close economic, trade and investment relations with Finland, and the UAE is Finland's largest trading partner in the Middle East.
