Dubai hosts the first session of the Veterinary Conference for the Middle East and Africa

Under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, Dubai recently hosted the first and largest veterinary science conference and exhibition in the Middle East and Africa region at the Dubai World Trade Centre. 


The dedicated event ran for three consecutive days with the participation of industry leaders, veterinary practitioners, veterinary associations, regional distributors, universities and veterinary students, from the region and around the world.


The conference and exhibition, the largest of its kind, specialized in pets, rare animals and horses, discussed the latest trends and innovations with the aim of achieving best practices in the fields of veterinary medicine and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry and veterinary products. 


In an interview with Emirates Today newspaper, Dr. Vasiliki Stathopoulou, Vice President of the Veterinary Conference for the Middle East and Africa, commented on the success of the conference by saying: 


“The first edition of the Veterinary Conference for the Middle East and Africa, under the auspices of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment in the United Arab Emirates, succeeded in attracting 42 internationally known speakers specializing in internal medicine and companion animal surgery, in addition to 721 veterinarians from 26 different nationalities, 55 students, and 86 A nurse and 160 exhibitors from 25 pet and companion companies."
