It's time for the symphonic heritage.

Andrea Morricone, the son of Ennio Morricone, pays tribute to the maestro in a cine-concert during a world tour.

The opportunity for the composer and conductor to speak at the microphone of Europe 1 of the work of the one who was nicknamed "Il Maestro".

It is a colossal heritage of more than 500 scores that Andrea Morricone honors with this cinema-concert.

A show retracing the career of Ennio Morricone, 70 million albums sold, imagined with his father, before "Il Maestro" - as he was nicknamed - disappeared in July 2020.

"This feeling of being crushed by the figure so extraordinary of his father, I do not feel it", assured Andrea Morricone, also a conductor and composer, with an impressive CV (collaborations with Sting or Andrea Bocelli).

"Maybe the audience who adored him feels that way, but I don't. Of course, my path is different, but it doesn't conflict with my father's work. I'm going to showcase it."

Wand and trigger

The son with the stick and Clint Eastwood the finger on the trigger in the cult "The good, the bad and the ugly"... The scenes of Sergio Leone, among other nuggets of the 7th art, parade on the giant screen.

Scenes made legendary by their soundtrack.

Scores constantly reworked and retouched by Ennio Morricone, described by his son as a passionate perfectionist.

"I share with my father, this same inner suffering, but beware, it is not a heartbreaking suffering", he assures.

"It's a suffering that invites us to question ourselves, that invites us to find the best way to achieve beauty."

Andrea Morricone was in concert at the Accor Arena on Tuesday evening, then will travel to Geneva and Zurich… The hairs stand on end: ciao the artist!
