The scene takes place at the 974 stadium in Doha, at the end of the match of the round of 16 of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar,

between Brazil and South Korea (4-1)

, Monday evening.

The images show Samuel Eto'o sharply kneeling an Algerian cameraman in the face, who had fallen backwards.

This one, identified as Sadouni SM, has some 66,000 subscribers on the YouTube online video platform.

The former FC Barcelona and Inter Milan player, who is also an ambassador for the Qatari World Cup organizing committee, was surrounded by several people who could not hold him back despite their efforts.

At the start of the 57-second video, Samuel Eto'o gives selfies to fans before being challenged by the youtubeur, whose question we cannot distinguish, but who we clearly hear saying: "

Gassama !

Gasama!

 »

Sadouni SM talks about

the Gambian referee Bakary Gassama

, who officiated in the return match of the Algeria-Cameroon play-off on March 29.

After extra time in overtime, the Indomitable Lions had beaten the Fennecs (2-1) and snatched their qualification for the World Cup, to the detriment of their opponents.

After the elimination, suspicions of corruption had flowered in Algeria.

In another video facing the camera and posted on Tuesday December 6, Sadouni SM explains that he is "

at the police station for the investigation

 " and claims that Samuel Eto'o "

destroyed

" his camera and microphone and hit him on the chin.

A Fecafoot official told AFP on Tuesday morning that the latter did not wish to react.
