The site of the former Tsukiji Market, which was closed four years ago when it was moved to Toyosu Market, covers an area of ​​approximately 23 hectares, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government plans to make approximately 19 hectares of this area a new base for exchange using water transportation.



Specifically, there is a plan to develop lively facilities such as restaurants near the docks, as well as large-scale customer attraction facilities that can accommodate more than 10,000 people. will be borrowed for redevelopment.



The Tokyo metropolitan government recently decided to set the annual land rental fee at a minimum of 10.1 billion yen, and will accept applications from businesses that will proceed with redevelopment from the 7th to the 9th.



The metropolitan government will accept proposals from business operators in August next year, and after that, a review committee made up of experts will review the content of the proposals and the land rental fee, etc., and decide around March of the year after next.
