"Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities Hotline 110" is held, where lawyers respond to consultations from persons with disabilities and their families free of charge.

Consultation sessions are held at three bar associations in Tokyo during Disability Week, which began on the 3rd of this month.

In the morning, we received inquiries such as, "A relative has been hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital for a long period of time, and I would like to transfer my resident card, but will this affect my ability to receive disability pensions?" Therefore, why don't you move to a relative who can support you?"

According to the bar association, there are consultations complaining of psychological abuse at facilities for the disabled, and people with physical disabilities complaining that the location of the elevator at the station is inconvenient, and it is difficult to use public transportation, especially on rainy days. It means that voices about barrier-free are also sent from day to day.

Attorney Mihoko Osawa of the Daini Tokyo Bar Association said, "People with disabilities face various problems in their daily lives. Not all of them can be solved immediately, but I hope they will be of some help. I would like you to consult with me about that," he said.

Consultations will be accepted until 4:00

pm on the 6th
