The Rhone federation of La France insoumise indicated Monday evening that its activists had been attacked in the Vieux-Lyon district, while they were distributing leaflets aimed at denouncing “the violence of far-right groups”.

Ten deputies ask the Minister of the Interior to dissolve the Remparts

“Several violent individuals came running and shouting nationalist and fascist slogans.

They beat up a young comrade with kicks and fists,” she said in a press release, adding that a “young activist” who tried to intervene had been “josted and thrown to the ground”.

The group has made clear its intention to file a complaint.

If his name is never mentioned, the accusations target the Remparts collective, born in September 2021 from the ashes of Generation Identity, dissolved six months earlier.

Monday evening, the Rhône prefecture decided to ban the demonstration they had planned to organize on December 8 on the sidelines of the traditional torchlight climb.

In addition, ten Macronist deputies wrote to Gérald Darmanin to demand the dissolution of the group and the closure of the places he frequents.

According to

Le Parisien

, the approach was launched by the Rhone deputy Thomas Rudigoz and comes to support that of Grégory who had written to the Minister of the Interior for the same reasons, in October.
