It has been claimed that the late American singer Aaron Carter's legacy will be passed on to his 1-year-old son, Prince.

On the 4th, American entertainment media TMZ reported, "The family wants Aaron Carter's legacy to be passed on to his son. They do not want a dispute over the legacy."

Jane Carter, the mother of the deceased, told TMZ: "Our family wants Aaron Carter's 1-year-old son to take all of Aaron Carter's fortune, amounting to $550,000." .

Aaron Carter died without leaving a will.

Under California law, the deceased's personal property goes to his next of kin.

Since Carter is legally unmarried, the inheritance will go to his son Prince.

The bereaved family also agreed to this.

Carter got engaged to model Melanie Martin in 2020, and Martin gave birth to a son last November.

However, the couple officially broke up a week after their son was born.

Aaron Carter is the younger brother of Nick Carter, a member of the world-renowned group 'Backstreet Boys'.

He also debuted as a singer in 1997 following his older brother and gained great popularity.

However, accidents continued to occur, such as being arrested by the police for drunk driving and marijuana charges.

He was found dead on the 5th of last month in the bathroom of his California home.
