Next Friday, the activities of the first session of the “Come on, French Cinema” festival will start in the Vox Cinemas - Galleria Mall on Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi.

Hugo Henry-Ceylan, cultural attaché at the French embassy and director of the French Institute in the UAE, said: “We are proud of this new festival, which has a program that addresses all segments of the public.

We are confident that the first session will contribute to opening the door to new opportunities for professional actors and directors from the Emirati and regional arena, to get acquainted with French cinema.

The festival, which will continue until the 11th of this month, aims to honor cinema, the French language and creativity.

The main theme of this session will be music, which supports the celebration and visibility of diversity.

The festival will present various cinematic shows, between drama and comedies, as well as documentaries and animations.

The festival will kick off with the film “Divertimento”, and the program will include a group of works, including: “Tenor”, ​​“Ernest and Celestine in Winter”, “Les Zand Gallant” (Indies of Courage) and “Peace”.
