The Association of Rural Mayors of Lot-et-Garonne has launched a new operation called "Élu Rural Relais de l'Égalité" (ERRE).

It is a local network fighting for equality between men and women.

Three avenues will be studied in particular: access to rights, the prevention and fight against violence against women as well as financial autonomy and professional integration, list Le Républicain Lot-et-Garonne.

This new local network will be formed by elected officials, appointed by their municipal councils.

In Lot-et-Garonne, around 35 municipal referents have already volunteered.

They will be supported by professional networks, the gendarmerie and the Maison de Protection des Familles.

Their objective will be to support all victims of domestic violence and to ensure gender equality on a daily basis.

Each municipal referent will soon benefit from training.

He must be easily reachable and receive people in a secure place to promote confidentiality.

He will also have to manage the connection with the professional structures and, if necessary, accompany the victims there.
