Climate activists plaster themselves on a street in Munich

Climate activists from the "Last Generation" movement once again stuck themselves to a street in Munich, Germany today during a protest event, blocking traffic.

A police spokesman said that nine people stuck themselves on the road today in "Karlsplatz" square, and they were wearing yellow jackets and holding signs with their demands.

The spokesperson added that traffic was diverted, but that the obstruction was of "moderate" severity.

The "Last Generation" movement announced more and more disturbing events this week.

In recent weeks, activists have blocked roads, damaged artwork and paralyzed air traffic at Berlin airport.

In the state of Bavaria, some were jailed as a precaution for announcing further unrest.

The movement calls for - among other things - a vehicle speed limit of 100 km per hour on motorways and the application of a discounted "€9 ticket" for trains.
