For this reason, Saga Prefecture started disposing of about 30,000 chickens and eggs raised at this poultry farm at 5 am.



In addition, the area within a radius of 3 kilometers from the poultry farm was designated as a "restricted movement area" where the movement of chickens and eggs is prohibited, and the area within a radius of 10 kilometers was designated as a "restricted area" where shipments from that area are prohibited.



Saga Prefecture has set up disinfection points at three locations within a 10-kilometer radius of this poultry farm to disinfect passing cars.



It was the first time since February 2017, five years ago, that an avian influenza virus was detected at a poultry farm in Saga Prefecture.
