The second preliminary race for the fourth edition of the Camel Heritage Journey Marathon for foreigners, organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for Heritage Revival, topped the scene with the participation of 20 contestants from 12 different nationalities, embodying tolerance and coexistence on the land of the United Arab Emirates, with the race being held in conjunction with the celebrations of the Union Day. It is noteworthy that the nationalities of the participants residing in the UAE are from: America, the Czech Republic, France, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Germany, Jordan, Russia, Pakistan, China, Estonia, and Brazil.

The race, in which residents of the country participated, was the last stop before anticipating the start of the camel journey this month, as the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage trained them during the past months on camel riding skills, in order to embark on a journey that extends for days in the heart of the UAE desert. It is getting more and more popular every year.

The CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage, Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmouk, who witnessed the race and crowned the winners, expressed his happiness at the increasing and continuous participation of “foreigners” residing in the country in the race, which confirms once again that our country is a homeland that brings together the entire world, while preserving on heritage, highlighting its originality and identity, and making it the beating heart of society.

He added: «This type of race achieves its desired goals, and every year we see a rise in levels and an increase in the size of the participants, and we expect that the main race that will be held on the sixth of next January will be strong, with the preparation of camels for the journey that the participants will make during the month. current ».

And the American of Arab descent, Maryam Suhrawardy, was able to grab the lead in the second preliminary race with all due merit.

Mariam said: «It was a wonderful race, my start was excellent, and I maintained the front throughout the stages of the race.

My participation in the camel trip organized by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage last year gave me a lot of experience and confidence required in such races, and I will continue to work and train with all my energy in preparation for the final in order to be on the podiums again.

 American Maryam achieved first place, German Kindergarten second, and Saudi Madawi third.

Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk stressed that "the UAE is a homeland that brings the world together on heritage and originality."

Saudi Madawi Al-Ahmad, residing in the UAE, continued her participation in the race, and this time she excelled in it, as she participated last year in the camel trip as well.

She said: «Participation came last year through an experience that I wanted to go through, and after that it became a part associated with me. This year, I will return to participate in camel racing, after I have mastered its skills more.”
