Solène Delinger 2 p.m., December 4, 2022

Jenifer is the guest of Europe 1 on Sunday in the program "Tell me what you sing".

At the microphone of Didier Barbelivien, the singer evokes her childhood idols.

Among them: Patricia Kaas, whose interpreter of “Give me time” was absolutely a fan.

Jenifer is back on the front of the stage with her new album

N°9.

An opus that the singer wanted solar and dancing, to make her audience dance after two long years marked by the pandemic and the confinements.

Invited on Europe 1 in

Tell me what you sing

to talk about this opus, Jenifer took the opportunity to share some confidences about her youth spent in Nice, and the stars who made her want to sing.

"I wanted to be Patricia Kaas"

As a teenager, the interpreter of

Give me time

had a real admiration for Patricia Kaas.

"She was different from the others. Her musical choice, everything, her way of behaving on stage… And, I totally fell in love, that is to say, I fell in love with Patricia Kass. I wanted to be Patricia Kaas “, confides Jenifer facing Didier Barbelivien.

Patricia Kaas made him want to be a rock star.

And, Jenifer had no trouble slipping into the shoes of the interpreter of

My guy to me.

"I dared to interpret his songs"

"I dared to take up his songs from an early age," recalls the former coach of

 The Voice.

"I dared to interpret them and make my own songs out of them to show off in rock star mode".

At that time, the young Jenifer "singed simply and freely" without asking questions.

"And that's what transpired when I saw Patricia Kaas on TV," she says.

"She has a shyness all the same that we saw and at the same time, she is a girl, an artist who has always assumed her choices".

A personality that instantly recalls that of a certain Jenifer...
