The Minister Delegate for Transport Clément Beaune called this Saturday for "collective responsibility" to avoid end-of-year strikes at SNCF, while 60% of TGV and Intercités were canceled this weekend due to a movement of mobilization of the controllers.

"I can't bring myself to have things written down," declared the minister, on the sidelines of the inauguration of a building at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport.

"Let's work in the next few days to avoid this (…) I will do everything at my level," he added.

Advance notice for Christmas and New Year's weekends

Another strike is scheduled for next Wednesday, while notices have been given for the Christmas and New Year weekends.

“There must be a discussion, a social dialogue.

There will be discussions on the issue of purchasing power, in particular, again in the coming days,” noted the Minister.

“Our country is going through a period that is not easy, with the question of energy, purchasing power, everyone feels it.

This is true for employees, including at the SNCF of course, ”he conceded.

“Of course I hope that it [these strikes] will be avoided.

I believe that the French do not need us to add a difficult moment to a complicated period, ”pleaded the minister.
