After 10:00 pm on the 2nd, the police were notified that smoke was rising on the tracks of Yokohama Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line.



According to the police, there is no information about injuries so far, but the underground platform was filled with smoke, so the station staff temporarily evacuated the passengers who were on the platform.



At the scene, the stairs leading down to the ticket gate were blocked with colored cones, and a station employee called out, "You can't enter the station because the police are inspecting the scene."



A crowd of people gathered around the stairs, and people were seen asking the station staff about the situation and using mobile phones.



Police and firefighters are currently investigating the details of the situation and the cause of the smoke.



Due to this, the Tokyu Toyoko Line has suspended operation on the up and down lines between Kikuna Station and Yokohama Station.



In addition, the Minatomirai Line, which is in direct operation, has also suspended operation on all lines.



According to Tokyu Corporation, there is no prospect of resuming operation.
