If you go to Paimpol (Côtes-d'Armor) during the Christmas holidays, you should find bright decorations but no festive music in the streets of the city.

A tradition that is nevertheless applied in many municipalities during this festive period.

But this initiative does not please everyone in Paimpol, reports

Ouest-France

.

In 2020, the Union of Traders and Craftsmen of the Paimpol Country already claimed that it had had "many complaints" about the sound volume or the choice of songs played in the speakers.

The association had then simply decided to cut the sound.

And this year, it could again be the case.

“There shouldn't be any musical entertainment in the streets of the city.

It is still the merchants' association that takes care of it and it is dormant, ”announced the city.

A situation regretted by the elected officials.

"No music in the streets this year, we hope it will be an electroshock," said a city councilor.
