“Earth tremors of magnitude 5.0 were registered on December 2 at 11:29 (3:29 Moscow time),” RIA Novosti reports.
The epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean, 98 km from Onekotan Island.
The source of the earthquake was at a depth of 58 km.
Information about perceptibility has not been received.
Earlier in the Solomon Islands, an earthquake of magnitude 7.3 was recorded.
