A 90 ton crane then a 55 ton semi-trailer.

On Wednesday, the two Ravi bridges, which provide access to the ski resort of Superbagnères, in Haute-Garonne, had a very bad experience of the passage of an exceptional convoy to the destination, precisely, of the Crémaillère express site, the new gondola on site.

The "two structures", already under surveillance because of their age and condition, are damaged, indicates this Friday the departmental council of Haute-Garonne.

Pending a more complete technical diagnosis, the community has decided to close the Departmental Road 46 "which crosses" these two bridges "and allows access to the resort of Superbagnères and the Lys valley".

A complaint lodged

“We are aware of the consequences of this closure for residents and professionals who work at the station (…), but the safety of users is our priority”, explains Sébastien Vincini (PS), the president of the departmental council.

Obviously, the convoy at the origin of this serious incident should have taken “the temporary bridge, reserved for the site, specially fitted out” for this purpose.

Hence the anger of Sébastien Vincini who denounces “an unacceptable act of individual irresponsibility”.

On behalf of his community, the elected official filed a complaint against the company chartering the convoy.

The opening of the station was so far announced for December 12.
