Earlier this week, Kulturnyheterna reported on a report that the industry organization Tidningsutgivarna submitted to the Ministry of Culture, where it appears that a third of SVT's publications have no video.

SVT should primarily deal with moving images also online, and too large amounts of text compete with commercial media and threaten media diversity, according to the editors-in-chief.

Right now, the forms for the future of the public service companies are being discussed in the broadcasting license that will apply from 2026 – 2033. The government has previously announced that the funding for the companies will be fixed, but has not mentioned anything about text restrictions.
