After that, his relatives and family members took him to the hospital, where doctors had to cut out the victim's tongue to save his life.

Senthil Kumaran, chief medical officer at Erode Manian Medical Centre, said the patient was admitted to the hospital with severe bleeding from the mouth.

"The tissues of the victim's tongue were affected by the venom of the snake. In such a case, to save the patient, his tongue had to be cut off. Even after his tongue was cut off, we had to fight for four days to save his life," he explained.
