Chinanews.com, Lanzhou, December 1st (Liu Xiao) "Whether it is leading apprentices or teaching students, I always encourage them to participate in more competitions." Nie Yuntang, chief welding technician of Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group, said in an interview with a reporter from Chinanews.com recently , Participating in the competition is to hope that they can recognize the gap with others and learn their strengths in the competition, so that they can quickly improve their skills and make continuous progress.

When Nie Yuntang first started working, he was originally a plumber. Since plumbers and welders often work together, he felt that two pieces of hard metal could be firmly connected with a small welding torch. A very miraculous thing.

So after work, he picked up the welding torch and secretly learned electric welding, and never put it down again.

From curiosity to understanding, Nie Yuntang's love for welding has only increased.

In order to improve welding skills, in 1989, the unit selected Nie Yuntang to study systematically at the welding training center.

Those who do often succeed, and those who walk often come.

Since then, Nie Yuntang has taken every job seriously, constantly studied hard, practiced basic skills hard, and actively participated in provincial and national welding technology competitions.

Nie Yuntang recalled that after the competition, he would take the initiative to discuss welding techniques with other contestants.

He believes that those who can participate in the competition have their strengths, and there will always be gains from more discussions.

"At that time, the teacher told me that I must participate in any welding competitions in the future." Nie Yuntang said that the teacher believed that only by participating in more competitions can he see the operation of excellent welders from the whole province and the country. At the same time, he should also learn from them. Improve skills.

At the beginning of the 21st century, with the development of the new energy industry, solar thermal power generation gradually emerged.

"Although the mirror bracket structure of the solar thermal power generation equipment mirror is simple, in fact, its parts need to be processed with very high precision." Nie Yuntang said that there is a core rotating part, and the deformation after welding needs to be controlled at 0.35. Within a millimeter, it is equivalent to the diameter of five hairs.

In order to solve this problem, Nie Yuntang looked through various professional books, and put forward plans to keep experimenting.

Finally, with the help of the circulating water cooling system, the welding was successfully completed, and the post-welding deformation was controlled within 0.25mm.

In 2013, Nie Yuntang was hired as a welding instructor by Gansu Iron and Steel Vocational and Technical College. In 2019, he became the leader of Gansu Skill Master Studio.

Nie Yuntang actively promotes school-enterprise cooperation, carries out double-teacher education, and continuously trains new talents by taking advantage of his dual identities as an instructor and a skill master to provide talent support for the company's subsequent development.

Nie Yuntang also often encourages the apprentices in the studio to actively participate in the competition. He said that they should train hard before the competition, go all out during the competition, and ask for advice after the competition. Even if they win the first place, they should exchange experience with other contestants.

Under the leadership of Nie Yuntang, the studio has trained more than 80 technical backbones for the company over the years, and 13 of them have obtained welding technician and senior technician certificates.

At the same time, with the help of the studio, he ran at the forefront of JISCO's production, established a research team, and solved a number of bottleneck problems in production.

After more than 60 years of construction and development, JISCO Group has formed a pattern of coordinated development of six major industrial sectors: iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, electric energy, equipment manufacturing, productive services, and modern agriculture.

Among them, the equipment manufacturing industry covers the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of metallurgical equipment, wind power equipment, photovoltaic equipment, photothermal equipment, electrical equipment and related non-standard equipment.
