Representatives of NPO corporations submitted a signature to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, requesting a review of the curriculum guidelines, etc., asking for the promotion of "comprehensive sex education" that broadly learns correct knowledge about sex and human rights awareness.

Representatives and teachers of NPOs engaged in educational activities related to sexuality carried out signature activities, and on the 30th, they visited the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and submitted about 43,000 signatures and proposals collected on the Internet. .

Among them, regarding sex education, in addition to accurate knowledge about sex such as contraception and abortion, UNESCO has set an international guideline of "comprehensive sex education" to learn a wide range of human rights awareness based on mutual respect according to age. I am proposing to promote it in Japan as well.

At the same time, we asked for a review of the so-called "stopping regulations" in the government's course of study, which stipulates that, in principle, sexual activities and contraception are not handled in junior high schools.

On top of that, the proposal states that there are about 10,000 induced abortions among teens every year, and that there is no end to the sexual abuse of young people through SNS, etc., so it is necessary to systematically learn about sex.

Fuyuko Sato, a university student who is a staff member of an NPO and aims to become a midwife, said, "I have a friend who gave up on going to college after becoming pregnant and giving birth in junior high school, and I felt that not having the right knowledge would have a big impact on my life. Appropriate. I want you to review the course of study because you can protect yourself and your opponent by learning from."
