The project can deliver 14.1 billion kilowatt-hours of green electricity to Beijing and Xiong'an each year, which is equivalent to saving 4.9 million tons of standard coal and reducing 12.8 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

The power station can transform the electricity output from clean energy such as photovoltaics and wind power in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region into stable green electricity. 2.6 million households use electricity for a year, reducing carbon emissions by 1.2 million tons.

  Fengning Pumped Storage Power Station builds reservoirs on the mountain and below the mountain respectively. It not only uses the surplus clean energy Saved, it is still the stabilizer, regulator and balancer of the power system.
