Prosecutors have not prosecuted YouTuber Lee Jin-ho (41), who was accused of defaming actor Goo Hye-sun (39).

On the 21st, the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office concluded that YouTuber Lee Jin-ho was not charged with the violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. filed by Goo Hye-sun.

Goo Hye-sun sued Lee Jin-ho, who claimed that the unconfirmed statement containing negative content about actor Ahn Jae-hyun, who divorced through a YouTube broadcast in May of last year, was not credible, and that it could not be concluded that the statement came from Ku Hye-sun, but the leak process and intention were not clear. .

When the police concluded that the matter was not sent back in June, Goo Hye-sun objected to the results of the police investigation and filed an objection with the prosecution in July.

Prosecutors concluded that she was not charged after a three-month investigation.

The prosecution said, "Even if we look at the entire content of the broadcast, it is not enough to admit it as defamation at the time of fact, and it is difficult to see that there is a purpose of slander." As it was acknowledged that he had checked whether A wrote a statement to actress A, there is no evidence to believe that the suspect recognized that what he said was false."

Previously, on May 3 of last year, Lee Jin-ho posted a video on his YouTube channel, 'Lee Jin-ho, the President behind Entertainment,' saying, "The statement that actress A wrote is different from the legal document format, and Mr. A insists that he 'never wrote a statement'. The statement in question was posted on an online site by an anonymous informant on the day of Ahn Jae-hyun's return to broadcasting after 1 year and 3 months with 'New Journey to the West' and was deleted within 1-2 hours." .

After suing Lee Jin-ho for defamation, Goo Hye-sun said, "I wrote the contents that celebrity A told me and sent it to the lawyer with the consent." I am very sorry and apologized to him," he said, explaining the reason for the complaint.

Regarding the results of the prosecution's investigation, Attorney Bae Geun-jo of Modu Law, a law firm in charge of Lee's legal representation, said, "There was a somewhat ambiguous part of the accuser's claim as to which part was false." It has been confirmed that we have tried from various angles to do so, and raised doubts within the range of common sense as a reporter."
