At 26, you still have your whole life ahead of you when you're human.

But for our friends the cats, this age, corresponding to more than 110 years of human life, is almost unattainable.

Almost only, because Flossie, a 26-year-old cat from London, has just been awarded by the book of records.

And for good reason, it is the oldest living cat in the world.

“If only we could all look this good in old age,” says owner Victoria Green.

I don't feel like I live with the older cat, I feel like it's his home and I'm encroaching on his space.

I really like her, she's a nice roommate and we get along very well.

I don't feel like I'm living with an old person.

The feline, born in 1995, has known several owners

Born in 1995, Flossie, who is deaf and has difficulty seeing, has changed homes many times during her life.

Before finding herself at Victoria, she was hosted by the association Cats protection.

And it was precisely while looking for an old cat to adopt on the association's website that the Londoner came across Flossie.

“I don't think I treat her any different because she broke a world record, I adopted her to be her nursing home.

She has everything she wants.

I just want to make sure she has a good end of life,” says Victoria.

For the London feline, there is yet another record to seek: that of the cat having lived the longest.

According to the book of records, the prize goes to Creme Puff, a cat who died in 2005 at the age of 38.
