Pop star Mariah Carey, dubbed the 'Queen of December,' has revealed that the reason she loves Christmas is because of her difficult childhood.

On the 25th local time, the fashion magazine 'W' published a pictorial and interview with Mariah Carey.

The magazine asked Mariah Carey on the same day, "Do her twin siblings know that their mother is more iconic than Santa Claus?"

Mariah Carey replied: "I know a lot of people always think of me as 'festive' or 'like a princess out of a fairy tale.' But that's not true."

Mariah Carey indirectly mentioned her difficult childhood, saying, "If you could create your own life while living in a messy environment, what kind of life would you like to live?" and "That moment was a joy to me."

"That's why I want my children to have everything they want and to understand that they can be anything they want," he said.

Earlier, Mariah Carey shocked him by confessing in his autobiography published in 2020 that he was bullied during his childhood, including violence and drug abuse, because his skin color was relatively lighter than his brothers.
