A Christmas tree was set up in the sea in Kushimoto Town, Wakayama Prefecture, which is known as one of the leading diving spots in Japan.

Every year, the Kushimoto Diving Business Association, which is made up of local diving companies, puts up a Christmas tree so that divers can enjoy walking under the sea during this season when the water is clear.



On the 29th, divers dressed as Santa Claus dived into the sea at a depth of 18 meters at a point called "Bizen", which is about 200 meters off the west coast of Shionomisaki, and set up a Christmas tree.



The sea of ​​Kushimoto is one of the best diving spots in Japan where various creatures live due to the influence of the Kuroshio Current. rice field.



Hiroyuki Michii (48) of the Kushimoto Diving Business Association said, "There are green trees on white sand, and if you take pictures with an underwater light, it will look great, so I hope everyone will enjoy it." I was.
