The Japan Federation of Bar Associations (JFBA), which accepts consultations regarding the former Unification Church, has analyzed the contents of more than 300 cases received so far and released them today.

80% of all consultations were about economic losses, and more than 40% of them complained of damages of 10 million yen or more.

The Japan Federation of Bar Associations has been accepting consultations about the former Unification Church by phone and online since September this year, and has published analysis results of 309 cases reported by lawyers who responded by October 27.



Of these, 80% (81.9%) of consultations were related to economic loss.



As for the amount of damage, 32.7% of the respondents complained of damage of "1 million yen or more and less than 10 million yen", and more than 40% of cases reported damage of 10 million yen or more.



Regarding "when the damage started", 60.5% answered "more than 20 years ago", followed by "10 to 20 years ago" at 22.7%.



It means that there were 83 cases where "it is still continuing".



In addition, there were 123 complaints that ``I was not informed that I was a religion or a former Unification Church when soliciting.''



The Japan Federation of Bar Associations continues to accept consultations, and Vice Chairman Naoko Yoshino said, "I would like to understand the actual situation and make proposals to help the victims."
