- I really want the world to hear my story, to hear all the children's voices, everything that we live through, she says in SVT's Morgonstudion.

Yeva believes that it is important that the world hears the truth about the war, not only through television but also from people who have been there.

"A voice for all children"

- I had a normal life, like you have now.

Åsa Widell, Secretary General Sweden for UNHCR, says that it is nice to hear a child describe the experience, which is otherwise often described by adults.

- This means that Yeva gives a voice to all children who have been forced to flee.

And over half of Ukraine's children have been forced to flee, so hearing it directly from her is very valuable.

Today, Yeva lives with her grandmother in Dublin, where she has been well taken care of and is learning more English every day.
