On the morning of the 27th, a man who was doing "SUP" = stand-up paddle boarding on the coast of Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture fell into the sea and drowned and died.
Shortly after 8:30 am on the 27th, a nearby fisherman found a man who was doing "SUP" on the coast of Shichirigahama, Kamakura City, falling into the sea and drowning.
According to police, the man was riding alone on his board about 10 meters from the beach, and he was rescued by anglers after he fell and did not float.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to a hospital after being given a heart massage by anglers, but was confirmed dead about an hour later.
Police are investigating the cause of the drowning, as well as confirming the man's identity.
