[Explanation] On November 25, the reconstruction and expansion project of the Nansha-Zhuhai section of the Guangzhou (State) Macau (Men) Expressway was held in Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. It is expected that the reconstruction and expansion of the entire line will be completed by the end of 2027.

　　[Explanation] The Nansha-Zhuhai section of the Guang'ao Expressway was completed and opened to traffic in December 1999. It is the first expressway directly leading to the Macau region from the inland.

Today, as an important part of the "A"-shaped development axis of the core area of ​​the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with the rapid growth of traffic volume, improving the traffic service capacity of this expressway has become an urgent livelihood issue.

　　[Explanation] It is understood that the reconstruction and expansion project of the Nansha-Zhuhai section of the Guang'ao Expressway starts at the Tanwei Junction Interchange in Huangge Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou, and ends at the Zhuhai Toll Station, Nanlang Street, Cuiheng New District, Zhongshan City, with a mileage of about 50.43 kilometers.

The project expands the above road section to two-way eight-lane or two-way ten-lane.

The reconstruction and expansion of the project is faced with many problems: the road construction time is relatively early, the traffic volume is large, the requirements for smooth flow and safety are high, and the pipelines along the road are densely distributed.

The relevant person in charge of the construction unit stated that he will take multiple measures such as "smart road network management and control" to ensure the construction progress and quality.
