Amidst a remarkable public presence, the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, continues its new session, which will continue until March 18, 2023, under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and with the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. It also attracts more than 20,000 participants and exhibitors from around the world, through more than 4,000 world-class cultural, entertainment and heritage events, and more than 750 public performances. over a period of 120 days.

This year, the festival is witnessing the addition of new sections, as part of the entertainment, educational and artistic events and activities it offers to its visitors. The most prominent of these additions are:

"Street Selfie"

The Selfie Street area is a new area for entertainment and entertainment, and is in line with the growing interest of the public in taking personal or group photos of them at the festival, to publish them through their personal accounts on social networking sites and to keep them as a special memory.

This area provides the visitor with the opportunity to take innovative, strange and unusual images, thanks to what it includes of three-dimensional figures and geometric shapes that create a state of visual deception for those who view the images. It also includes green areas such as gardens, famous works of art, huge figures of games and ice cream, and other shapes. Which gives the photos a special character.

«Museum of sweets»

The festival witnesses many activities that are divided into main events and performances, others accompanying the festival, daily activities, in addition to heritage competitions.

Among the most prominent main events: Union March, National Day celebrations, New Year's celebrations, Emirates Fountain and laser shows, Drones shows, weekly fireworks shows, Al Forsan Sports Resort events, Al Wathba Custom Show.

As for the events accompanying the festival, they are divided into the activities of military heritage music performances, the city of entertainment games, the march of world civilizations, theatrical performances of the pavilions of the participating countries, and folkloric performances.

World Cup area

In conjunction with the "World Cup 2022", the Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has allocated many screens for displaying matches on a regular basis, so that the screens are distributed throughout the festival.

These screens give visitors and football fans the opportunity to watch the matches daily from 4:00 pm to 12:00 midnight, during weekdays, and until 1:00 am, during weekends and official holidays.

In addition to the new areas, the festival includes many entertainment areas, including the Garden of Flowers and Lights, which mixes plastic lighting arts and flowers in glowing colors to give visitors the opportunity to take pictures documenting their memories.

The House of Horrors, the Ko Karting area, the Crazy Car, in which children enjoy driving electric cars, and the Children's City, which includes many activities.
