Amazon faces a labor strike on Black Friday

A group of labor organizations spanning 30 countries plans to stage a protest against online shopping giant Amazon on Black Friday.

The "Make Amazon Pay" initiative demands that the company pay fair wages and plans to organize strikes around the world.

Last week, Amazon announced job cuts, starting with the hardware and services division, citing the difficult economic situation.

The company stated that the number of its employees reached 798 thousand workers by the end of 2019, but the number of full-time and part-time workers until December 31, 2021 amounted to 1.6 million workers, an increase of 102%.
