The journalist of Iranian origin, living in France, had left for the country for the Arte channel, with the aim of covering the demonstrations which have shaken the country since mid-September.
He had been arrested and taken into custody.
Released on bail, he is now awaiting trial.
Vahid Shamsoddinnezhad, a journalist of Iranian origin living in France, has been released on bail in Iran.
He had left for the country for Arte, with the aim of covering the demonstrations which have shaken the country since mid-September, and the death of Mahsa Amini, arrested by the morality police for an ill-fitting veil.
The journalist was arrested at the end of September and then imprisoned.

Two months later, Vahid Shamsoddinnezhad was released, but on bail.
He is now awaiting his trial.
According to the Arte channel, this "trial will allow him to explain himself and, we are convinced, to dispel the charges against him."

In announcing his arrest, the channel indicated that the journalist was working on the spot "in complete transparency vis-à-vis the authorities" in Tehran.
He had also given them the letter of accreditation from Arte and the details of his French press card.
