American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is allowed to tweet again.

Six weeks after an involuntary hiatus due to anti-Semitic tirades, the Grammy winner reported back to the platform on Sunday.

The day before, new Twitter owner Elon Musk had announced that he would also unblock former President Donald Trump's account, which was suspended after the attack on the Capitol in January 2021.

While Trump refrained from new tweets, Ye reported back to his more than 32 million followers with a "testing, testing".

A few hours later, the 45-year-old singer ("Violent Crimes") also used the platform to announce his second bid for President of the United States.

He has already hired Milo Yiannopoulos, British blogger, associate of right-wing MP Marjorie Taylor Greene and Trump fan, as campaign manager.

Ye had already tried to move to the White House in 2020.

At that time, the mentally ailing rapper with his "Birthday Party" attracted attention more through tearful election events than ideas on taxes, foreign policy and the economy.
