Plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum, Peking opera facial makeup, landscape calligraphy and painting, flower-and-bird thangka... The intangible cultural heritage of Hebei Province, "Zheng's sand art", has a history of more than 160 years. Known for being clearly visible.

  Zheng Tiejun is the fifth-generation grandson of Zheng Kexiang, the founder of "Zheng's sand art" in the late Qing Dynasty.

According to Zheng Tiejun, Zheng's sand art is a folk craft made by hand using natural colored sand. "painting", "crystal sand painting" and other techniques.

  Today, Zheng's sand art has developed more than 100 varieties from a single Peking Opera mask.

Zheng Tiejun's "Peking Opera Face Makeup" and "Twelve Zodiac Signs" series were collected by the Capital Museum.

In May of this year, "Emperor Qianlong's Great Review" was collected by Chengde Mountain Resort Museum.

  In recent years, with the support of the local government, Zheng's sand art has opened intangible cultural heritage training courses in 14 surrounding villages, training more than a thousand farmers and craftsmen, and their works have been exported to more than 40 countries and regions including the United States and Germany.
